Bear Country, Yellowstone

Wyoming, Montana and IdahoOPUS OP4Mike and SherryDecember 2021

Mike and Sherry's week in bear country ran from Erie, Colorado up through Rock Springs and Jackson, Wyoming, into Yellowstone, across to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho, down past Flaming Gorge and Red Canyon in Utah, and home through Steamboat Springs. Their OP4 handled the whole loop without a hitch.

"What an amazing week of travels to Jackson, Jackson Hole, Teton National Park, Yellowstone, Lava Hot Springs, Flaming Gorge Lake, and wrapping it up coming back through Steamboat! Saw grizzly bears, brown bears, buffaloes, deer, elk, antelope, pronghorn, big horn sheep, mountain goats, waterfalls, and a ton of geysers!"

It was not their first time off the pavement, either:

"Prior to this trip, we went dispersed camping near Teller City, CO and were able to see some moose! It's nice having the ability to go off-road and see and experience so many things we hadn't been able to before!"
