OPUS OP4s on the Rimrocker Trail, western Colorado
Expedition Journal

The Rimrocker Trail

ColoradoOPUS OP4Max Moss, Lee Odom, and Darin and Anne Doty

Three OP4s in gray, orange and black rolled out of Cortez behind an FJ Cruiser, a Colorado ZR2 and a 4Runner, working the off-pavement routes of western Colorado toward Moab.

The route took in Yankee Boy Basin, Last Dollar Road through Ouray County, camps at Miramonte Reservoir and the Rimrocker Trail itself, with Wilson Peak standing over the good stretches.

Dirt roads, mountain passes and water crossings, from alpine basins to lakeside camps. The kind of route where three matching trailers start to look like a brand advertisement by accident.
