Jim Moss left Washington with one destination that mattered: Florida, and a newborn granddaughter named Violet. He towed his OP2 behind a Jeep JL Rubicon and camped most nights on the way across, including the southern stretch of New Mexico and a stop in Lincoln where the drone came out.
Then shelter-in-place orders landed mid-trip. Jim rolled with it, staying two unplanned months in Florida with family before pointing the Jeep home.
The OP2 made the disruption easy to live with. As Jim put it, even with unexpected delays, everything stayed simple and manageable.
