This summer a group of OP4 owners met up in Cortez, CO. They fueled up and hit the road to take on trails like Yankee Boy Basin, Last Dollar Road, Rimrocker, and more.
Starting with Rimrocker, the group went off-pavement for miles experiencing the stunning views. RimRocker Trail is organized of mostly US Forest Service and BLM roads to form an off-pavement route that connects Montrose to Moab, Utah.
The group made an attempt at Yankee Boy Basin. An alpine basin in Ouray County (southwestern Colorado) but it was closed to vehicles at the time, so the group took a slight detour leaving them in a “tight” situation.
They also went to Miramonte Reservoir which is South of Norwood in Western Colorado – It’s a remote lake found within the Dan Noble State Wildlife Area with great trout fishing.
If you don’t recognize that mountain range… look again! Wilson Peak was made famous by Coors Light and one of the more epic locations they overlooked in the morning.
Touring through Last Dollar Road which ascends from Telluride to Ridgway, the group had a clear view of Wilson Peak, recognizable not only to Coloradans, but also to anyone who’s ever peeled the label off a Coors bottle.
